I think this might be a driver problem, so I tried going on the Dell website to find a driver for the touchpad, but all I can find are drivers for Windows XP and Vista 32-bit. I found a fix for F22 though, on askubuntu. I downloaded the latest driver from dell website the touchpad started working back again.
